The following is a chicken puppet that was used for the play My Three Angels at the Florida Repertory Theatre.  First I sewed the body from muslin, added the head and feet of a rubber chicken, then covered the whole thing with feathers.  The actor carried it across the stage under his arm with the wing flapping.

This coconut shell cage was used for the production of My Three Angels.  I took a coconut shell that I found in the director's yard, cut it in half and glued bamboo sticks between the two halves.  Finally, I made a little door so the actor could open it and let the snake (imaginary) out.
